We run our admin team, security team, maintenance team, storage team and parks team from our headquarters at Eversley, Hampshire. We are a close-knit group who all work together and we work hard to look after the 15 families connected to our business, making sure that everyone is supported in playing their part in the success of the Greenfords business.

A family business for more than seventy successful years

The founder of Greenfords Ltd was the late Marcus Woolfson. After graduating with a degree in Economics from Warwick University in the early 1970s and working in a City of London bank for two years, Michael Woolfson joined forces with his father, Marcus Woolfson. Marcus had been running a caravan sales business from premises near the then new flyover in Hammersmith, West London. They moved Greenfords Ltd down to Hampshire in the mid-1970s. Marcus was our Managing Director from 1950 to 1981.

Greenfords’ registered company number is 00395045.

From the late 1970s onwards, Greenfords began to grow a park home portfolio, beginning with Cavendish Park, Yorktown, Sandhurst in the 1970s. The company began work on a brand new development in the beautiful village of Box Hill, near Dorking in Surrey which was completed in the mid-1980s and the portfolio now totals four park home estates for people aged 50 years and over: Cavendish Park, Sandhurst; Merrywood Park, Box Hill; Ferndale Park, Bray and Blackbushe Park, Yateley. We own the freeholds of each of our five properties: the four parks and our Eversley Storage premises.

We have been members of the British Holiday and Home Parks Association (BH&HPA) since 1976. We are proud to maintain our commitment to best practice in the industry.

Over time the focus shifted away from caravans sales and repair and the Greenford Park Homes side of Greenfords Ltd became the main focus of that side of the business. In the late 1980s the company purchased land in Eversley, between Hartley Wintney and Reading which is now Eversley Storage and the location of our headquarters office building, constructed in 2002.

The self storage business serves household customers needing additional space during home refurbishments or extensions, self-build projects, downsizing and house moves; we serve numerous trade customers, working with startups, established businesses who are expanding and various other small and medium sized companies needing mini-warehousing; the final sector of our customer base is the removals trade and we have longstanding relationships with various local removals firms using both our warehouse and steel storage units.

Eversley Storage has been involved with the Self Storage Association since the mid-1990s and we enjoy engaging with this exciting industry as it matures in the UK.

Our headquarters in Eversley

We have been at our headquarters in Eversley since the late 1980s and we built our smart office building in 2002. The next major project we undertook was to replace the warehouse roof, which was completed in 2016 along with a complete rewiring and replacement of both the fire and intruder alarm systems. We keep all the facilities at our properties under constant review, updating and upgrading where necessary. More recently we have installed defibrillators across the whole Greenfords estate and we are currently progressing energy efficiencies on all our properties, including changes to street lighting on our parks and at Eversley Storage.

We like to ensure that Greenfords Ltd makes a positive contribution locally and so we are proud to have supported community projects local to our headquarters in Eversley Village and also to our parks, when we have the opportunity.
